Coat of Arms comprise two banners encapsulating and encircling the three roses—white, red and yellow. The banners read mottoes: Cura Animarum and Rosa Mystica

Cura Animarum: This is a Latin expression that means ‘care and welfare of the soul’ originally from pastoral ministry. Psychology enshrines this idea for all of us; to guide and protect life and impart psychological well-being. When I was pursuing M.A in Psychology, Prof. Eric Soreng shared this wise imagination while reflecting on the health of our soul that made me rethink and understand scope of Psychology. It warmed me up and made psychology meaningful. This expression has bearings on my heart to this day. I uphold the spirit of this motto to do research and become an analyst.

Rosa Mystica: Mystical Rose in one of the titles of Mary. She epitomizes feminine softness, radiance and resistant to corruption. The three roses–white, red and yellow signifies prayer, sacrifice and repentance or suffering. I personally follow these three virtues as a code of conduct and observe to live my life, to do research. The three virtues beautify and perfume the personality of the one who live by them.

Encountering Carl Jung

Meeting Jung through his life-story, dreams and visions is a peek into his inner sanctum that inspires and dares oneself to look within: the soul’s nightly wilderness. To look into one’s own inner world not just orient us towards care and healing of the psyche but it is the way to the creative, imaginative, salvific life; the man who is a timely being meets the timeless. Jungian world-view sensitized me to listen to the voice of the soul, to the primordial wisdom of the symbols.

My encounter with Carl Jung happened when I was pursuing Masters in Psychology, taught by Prof. Eric Soreng, in the world of academic psychology it is as rare as finding a mythical creature. I was getting fascinated by Jungian lectures, so in time I decided to pursue it seriously. I enrolled as a research scholar and fulfilled the thesis under him. I continue to take interest in interpretation of myths.

In the year 2023, I began self-analysis under Ms. Lisbet Myers Zacho who inspired me to undertake the journey to become an analyst.

Collegium of Jungians

For the sake of the ripening of the soul in the evening of life there is a need to stay connected to Jung, to cherish the perspective, to keep the spirit of Jungian research alive, to ponder on the ever-mysterious language of the dreams, myths and fairytales encompass the vision of a collegium. It is mental, virtual or physical space for the fellowship of Jungians. It is the matrix, the mother I return to.
