Indian Fellowship for Analytical Psychology

(IFAP, DG of IAAP)

About the Fellowship

Our mission is to advance the study of Analytical Psychology by fostering engagement with Jungian theory and practice. We aim to facilitate structured training programs that provide in-depth learning opportunities in this field. Additionally, we promote mythological research through a Jungian lens, encouraging scholarly exploration of myths, archetypes, dreams and symbolic narratives. To deepen this understanding, we offer specialized training in the interpretation of dreams, myths and fairy tales, helping individuals develop expertise in uncovering their deeper psychological significance. Furthermore, we support and encourage writing and publication in Jungian-mythological research, ensuring that valuable insights continue to reach a wider audience.

The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.

Meaning of Paphal

It is a variation of Uroborus. The symbol of the sacred snake is from the archaic religion of the Meitei ethnic community in Manipur, North-East India. The quaternio of Paphal makes the world rest upon itself, and that also gives us a psychic structure to contemplate on the human nature. Paphal is a mythical and mystical "ordo compositionis" [Jung, C.G. (1963, footnote p. 458). Mysterium Coniunctionis, An Inquiry into the Separation and Synthesis of Psychic Opposites in Alchemy.
